The impact of gamification on the development of students targeted by special education: an integrative literature review
Abstract
This study aimed to perform an integrative literature review on the effectiveness of gamification in the development of learning skills in students with special educational needs. The PRISMA method was used for the selection of articles, with stages of identification, screening, eligibility and final choice. The research was conducted in databases of the CAPES Portal, with keywords related to special education and gamification. The results indicated that gamification facilitates cognitive and socio-emotional development, in addition to promoting student autonomy. It is concluded that gamification is a promising pedagogical strategy in special education, although more research is needed.
Keywords: Gamification; Special education; Development.
